HR's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The KPI’s of HR have to be measured towards the execution of the company’s strategy. Taking a professional approach in managing HR’s suppliers and external partners when functions are outsourced is a highly relevant example of this.

To play this role efficiently in the value chain, HR has to build its capabilities in influencing and consulting the senior leaders. A staff function doesn’t have the same level of “natural” power as a typical line function. As a result, this capability is crucial if HR wants to be a valid management board member.
