HR’s 5th Role

Even as HR departments struggle to master these four roles, a fifth was recently added, namely that of HR Leader*. The HR Leader is accountable for the other four roles as organizations expect them to be achieved with fewer resources.

Even while the more operational aspects of HR are being outsourced to shared service centres or third party providers, the HR Leader remains accountable for their effectiveness and the relevance of their deliverables to the organization.
