Don't get stuck in the middle!

Indecision about your strategy means you can get “stuck in the middle”. That is not where any business wants to be. That is why you must clearly choose your strategy. Are you a price player, a premium vendor or a solutions provider? Three aspects drive this decision:

  • The state of your market and the competition you face. Where is the crowd? Where are the opportunities? Where are your rivals weak?

  • The capabilities and structure of your organisation. What can it support? How can it grow? What are your people and processes able to do?

  • The future developments in your market place. Which technological or geo-competitive changes can be expected? Are you prepared for them? Which ones are beyond your abilities to influence?
