2nd participant at -15% fee reduction
MCE encourages team learning. For every participant to a given Workshop for Individual Managers who is accompanied by one or more colleagues from the same company to the same workshop, a fee reduction of 15% will be applied as from the second participant (reduction based on standard fee, cannot be aggregated with other promotions or group discounts).

Workshops for Individual Managers
MCE organizes and delivers workshops for individual managers at both middle and senior levels of management. We cover a wide variety of business issues and management topics.
These workshops are not really “courses” or “training programmes”. As their name implies, they are “workshops” where you can bring your business issues and challenges. You will get exposure to new concepts and tools, and benefit from the experience and guidance of an MCE Senior Associate who is an ex corporate leader and has faced similar issues in his or her career.
You will also benefit from exposure to the ideas, issues, and experience of your fellow participants. The groups are general small, about 6 to 7 participants.
Before the workshop, we ask you to describe your business issue so that the Senior Associate is prepared to help you during the workshop. The workshop is personalized as much as possible to the needs of the group.
We encourage strong interaction, sharing of issues, ideas and experiences between the participants. The senior associate will try to give as much personal attention as possible to each individual’s issues.
It is possible to arrange continued mentoring and coaching after the workshop to help you through implementation of your goals or solution.

Collaborative learning
At the heart of MCE’s approach is collaborative learning for adults. MCE works to ensure that every workshop is situated in real life and real business problems, and that every participant is actively involved in the learning process. We adjust concepts and tools to fit each participant’s business situation. We actively call on participants to apply their existing knowledge and experience for the benefit of the group through exchanging ideas and peer coaching.
MCE Senior Associates
Senior associates are all ex-senior line managers, who have led international careers. They are motivated to share their experience with others as a mentor or advisor. They are selected by MCE based on their ability to listen to client needs and determine the root cause of a business problem. Most have experience with or at least an affinity for adult learning, whether they were involved in teaching or training, or were active coaches and developers of their teams. They are familiar with different management concepts and are able to translate this to real life. Their performance is closely monitored through customer evaluation and use of the Net Promoter™ Score (NPS).
Workshop groups
Participants are all practicing managers. Each comes with his or her own knowledge and experience. Groups are typically small, average 6-7 participants. Participants come from diverse backgrounds in terms of industry, function, and culture. This helps open up participants to different realities, perspectives and solutions. We carefully ensure good networking, bonding and confidentiality within the group.
Group discussion
Participants’ own knowledge and experience is valuable and relevant. MCE Senior Associates avoid lecturing participants. Concepts and tools are introduced, but discussion is the bulk of plenary classroom activity. Participants are asked to help develop the concept, map it to their existing knowledge and experience, debate ideas and share their thoughts.
Questioning and challenge
MCE Senior Associates use questioning techniques to get to the heart of participants’ real-life issues and challenges. Associates challenge their comfortable mind-sets and ask them to look at issues differently.
Case studies
MCE Senior Associates use short, pertinent business case studies where participants can explore an issue, practice problem-solving, or role play behaviours. Case studies also encourage group interaction and problem-solving.
Mentoring and Coaching
Participants often work in peer coaching groups. MCE Associates also serve as mentors who can challenge and advise and guide participants. Mentoring and coaching can continue after the workshop, if desired.
Action learning projects
MCE encourages customers to include business projects as part of the learning. MCE Associates are ideally suited to guide project formulation and implementation in a multi-modular programme. They have experience with sponsoring, managing, and implementing real projects in real companies.
Assessments and personality tests
MCE uses simple assessments and personality tests where they add value to a workshop.
Business research
MCE constantly scans the business and economic environment for trends and practices that affect our customers and their success around the world, and these are built into our workshops.
