Over a period of twenty years, Adrian Smith has gained considerable insight in financial decision – processes in the corporate world. He started his career in the Audit Department of a large international Accounting firm and held in his last position responsibilities as Group CFO and SVP of an US Public Company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Adrian brings to MCE’s curriculum his knowledge in the management of Multi Country European financial operations, Merger and Acquisitions, Business repositioning and has in-depth knowledge of the medical device market (MedTech).

Birgit Fibian has more than sixteen years of sales experience in medical device businesses and led international marketing teams. Most notably, her managerial work consisted of building, restructuring and merging product portfolios in the pharma - industry. This included among other responsibilities branding, market positioning and product-life cycle-management.

Dieter Hoffmann’s expertise in leadership, building and managing of international organizations in the fields of Marketing, Sales, Distribution and Merger / Acquisitions has been built in key positions in general management roles. He has developed and implemented strategies and has a proven record in 'turn around'-management in mature and emerging markets.

Jörg vom Stein has more than 20 years of extensive business experience in various sales and marketing leadership positions and recently as chief commercial officer in the life sciences industry. Jörg worked in areas such as academic research, biotech, analytical instruments pharma, clinical research, environmental, forensics and food. He has special experience in managing change and restructuring processes aiming for effective pan-European and global sales- and marketing organisations. Special competence areas which he brings to MCE’s marketing curriculum are strategic key account management, integrated sales management, customer value driven sales- and marketing strategy definition, marketing planning, marketing processes and integrated marketing campaign development.

Thomas is a seasoned senior executive with a proven track record of increasing company performance in various industries, spanning banking, automotive, food and most recently, medical technology. He is recognized for his proven Leadership to execute strategies in complex environments, where he combines his drive to succeed with his penchant for constant innovation and the ability to build and lead high-performing cross-cultural teams. Most recently at Roche Diagnostics, he was responsible for the launch of innovative products in diabetes, leveraging the convergence potential between MedTech and Pharma while sustaining the competitive advantage for Roche.

Willem Jan has senior management experience and expertise in business-to-business sales, marketing, R&D, manufacturing, services and administration in medical devices, health care and information technology businesses.
